London's South Bank

I was at the Waterloo IMAX for a conference hosted by my company, and during the lunch break, had a wander out to Waterloo Bridge and the South Bank.

Photoshoot with Megan

Another day, another photoshoot. Not that I’m becoming blasé or tired, I’m really enjoying taking lots of photos of great models, and practising my portrait photography – something I’ve been meaning to do for a while now. Today’s model was Megan, an actress/director/choreographer, again from Homerton (do they only accept good-looking students?!), and while we weren’t blessed with the golden sunlight of magic hour, St. John’s College in overcast conditions still proved to be a great backdrop for a model with a “great face” (as everyone keeps commenting).

Photoshoot with Erica & Adam

With two recent photoshoots already receiving myriad positive comments (notably “who’s that girl?!”, of Rebecca’s photoshoot), I was approached by someone I’d photographed at Cuppers Athletics, asking if I could take some photos of her and her boyfriend. As if serendipity hadn’t already showed up enough in my life, here it came again – while I was taking the high jump photographs of Erica, I thought that she’d make a good model, and now I was presented with an opportunity to photograph her. And she certainly proved to be a great model. These photos are of her with her boyfriend Adam, and I’ll post some more shots of Erica posing on her own.
The photos were taken, as usual, at magic hour; this time in Emmanuel College’s gardens.

Venus and the Earthlit Moon

After a long rainy streak, the return of clear skies brought not only sunshine and warmth, but also a view of the conjunction between Venus and a young crescent moon. This photograph shows the phenomenon of Earthshine, where the dark side of the moon is illuminated by sunlight reflected off the Earth’s surface.
