Lomography Photos in King’s College
I had coffee with my friend Ellie, whom I had photographed a few times for the Cambridge Ballerina Project, as well as some fashion photos. It was such a rare sunny day that we did a mini-photoshoot, with my trusty iPhone; and Ellie is a big fan of lomography.
Photos that helped sell my apartment on Facebook
Before resorting to estate agents (and their huge commission fee), I decided to try to sell my apartment in Cambridge myself. I knew how to take better photographs than the estate agents would produce, listed on a handful of websites, and created an event on Facebook for as many of my friends to share as possible, in the hope of finding a buyer. And it worked, far too well. A day after my listing went online, I had a buyer, willing to pay full asking price, and to take it fully furnished as well.
The apartment is very bright, but I was fortunate to have early morning light for these photos.
Wedding of Elizabeth and Alistair
As has become a tradition, I was asked to photograph the wedding of a dancer friend whom I met while she studied and danced at Cambridge. And also traditionally, they chose to be wed in Cambridge, and celebrate in their college, Sidney Sussex.
Cinemagraphs with Holly
The first time I saw cinemagraphs, I was instantly hooked; it’s a magical combination of a fashion photograph, with a hint of the reality of the seen added with some movement. It’s a sort of Harry Potter style moving image, which some find quite disconcerting, but it’s definitely captivating.
Photoshoot with Holly
I’ve shot with Holly many many times already, as she’s my favourite model. This time, she wanted to shoot a video, so we headed to a great location, Brancaster beach on the Norfolk coast. We got lucky with our timing, and it was low tide in the afternoon (giving huge expanses of beach), and the tide quickly came in at sunset (giving huge expanses of water to reflect the fantastic skies).
