A fourth year linguist, Will has been acting throughout his time at Cambridge, and is hoping to pursue a career in drama. His agent recommended that he get a new headshot photo, and I was highly recommended by one of his peers (one of my muses), Rebecca.
Acting Headshot for Zara
Zara graduated last year, and her London agent suggested she get a new headshot. Not keen to pay London prices for results she wasn’t overly pleased with last time, she’d seen some of my recently-taken acting headshots up in the ADC Theatre, and got in touch. Strong recommendations from her peers who themselves were happy customers also helped :)
Cadenza Photoshoot
I was asked by a friend who sings in Cadenza, Cambridge’s premier a cappella sensation, to take their publicity photographs for this year. They had a weekend-long rehearsal session in Newnham College, and after a bit of exploring with one of the group’s Newnhamites, found a few suitable locations for their group photos. I was privileged to hear several of their songs while they were waiting for a few extra members to turn up. Not only are their performances wonderful, they’re also all lovely people.
Acting Headshots for Hayley
The second headshot photoshoot this weekend, with Hayley, yet another stunning drama student at Homerton, like Rebecca, Megan and Erica. At this rate, I may soon get to photograph every member of Homerton. The photos below may or may not show this, but at times she reminded me of Brigitte Bardot, Farah Fawcett, and Cat Deeley.
Acting Headshots for Ade
Two more headshot photoshoots this weekend, both postponed from last weekend. First up, Ade, an undergraduate actor at Jesus college. Ade is starring in the ADC late-show this week, “Memory of Water”, which also stars Rebecca Pitt.
Acting Headshot for Dave
The acting headshots I’ve been taking recently have started gathering some attention within the acting community of Cambridge. As Megan and Rebecca are quite central to student drama in Cambridge, several of their peers have noticed the headshot photos I’ve taken of them, and are now asking me to take their headshots. Straight after Rebecca’s photoshoot yesterday, I had another photoshoot with Dave, which was one of the first solo male portrait shoots I’ve done.
Rebecca's Chosen Headshot
Here’s the photo that Rebecca has chosen as her acting headshot. It was one of the colour photos that I shortlisted yesterday, with a little post-processing.
Acting Headshot for Rebecca
Another follow-up photoshoot; after my first great photoshoot with Rebecca, she asked me to take some more photos, this time for her new actress headshot. I’m still waiting to hear which photo she’ll choose as her headshot, but the selection below are some of my favourites from the shoot.
Photoshoot #2 with Megan
After my first great photoshoot with Megan, she asked me to take some more photos, this time for her new actress headshot. As her hair is now blonde, her previous photos as a brunette were no longer representative of her. As Megan is now the marketing and front-of-house manager of the ADC Theatre, it seemed a fitting location for the photoshoot.
Dawn & Bill's Wedding
After yesterday’s rehearsal and this afternoon’s preparations, the ceremony itself was pure fairy-tale. I joined the bridesmaids in a car to King’s College, arriving just ahead of the bride as the ceremony was due to start! Dawn and her god-father made haste to the chapel so as not to keep Bill waiting any longer (bit of an in-joke ;) One of the crowning moments was the recessional: the large doors at the back of the Chapel were opened, causing the golden sunlight to shine straight down the aisle onto Dawn and Bill as they emerged, newly-wed. I don’t think I’ll be able to look at King’s Chapel again without thinking of Dawn & Bill’s getting married there.
